Soul Food Groups
The Gloria Dei Church Council met recently to determine goals for 2026. One of our goals is to help our members get to know each other better outside of worship. We decided to implement Soul Food Dinners, where small groups of church members come together over a potluck dinner. Our initial gatherings will take place before June 30th, with more dinners planned for the fall. Each dinner will have a host who will coordinate the date, time, and place with members of their group. They may decide to meet in a home, at a restaurant, a park, or at Gloria Dei, etc. The host will coordinate what each member brings to the dinner and may provide the main course. We are thankful to our hosts for these first dinners: Bob and Liz Cruz, Boyd and Deborah Burns, Allan and Jackie Erickson, Carol and Steve Rife, Pat and Keith Larson, Cathy and Joel Halvorsen, Roger and Jeanne Amundson, Chuck and Cheryl Davison, Paula and Elten Zerby.
